[Student Testimonial] Learning BMT for Physiotherapy Practice

I first came across Bioelectric Meridian Therapy when I accompanied my father to meet a practitioner to get his lower back pain treated. My father’s back pain has been bothering him for several years especially after working in the restaurant for long hours. The moment after he tried this modality, he felt a drastic relief in his lower back and moved better when performing his duties at work.
Witnessing my father’s improved condition via Bioelectric Meridian Therapy inspired me to learn more about the modality and incorporate it into my physiotherapy practice.
After learning about the Bioelectric Meridian Therapy Level 1 course with the Academy of Bioelectric Meridian Massage Australia (ABMMA), I realised that I could potentially help people from all walks of life with a diverse range of musculoskeletal issues and improve their overall health.
I liked how the course is taught in small groups and the techniques were demonstrated clearly with a lot of practical sessions to make sure standards of practice is met with safe procedures.
During the Level 1 course, I learned that Bioelectric Meridian Therapy can help much more than just musculoskeletal injuries. It can also support visceral issues and problems involving lymphatic systems and men’s health.

I was privileged to personally receive a treatment session from ABMMA Founder, Tracy Taulier upon discovering my meridian lines were blocked and I had some issues with my body’s muscle imbalances on the right side. My experience as a patient being in her hands was the depth of the bioelectricity’s penetration. It was felt deeply where no ordinary manual soft tissue work could replicate the similar sensation. There was a gentle prickling sensation felt when the bioelectricity was delivered across my body from the firm touch of her fingertips, which was painless.
After the treatment was done, my body felt lighter which made me feel an increase of range of motion and the muscles that were tone on the right side lessen.

Attending this course has definitely opened my eyes about the unlimited potential of this modality in supporting pain control and integrating it with proper physiotherapy treatment plans.
I am thankful that Tracy is able to teach Bioelectric Meridian Therapy, an amazing modality for improving the quality of patients’ lives, and break it down with ease. I look forward to carrying this knowledge back and helping others.
