Increase functional movement after surgery with Bioelectric Meridian Therapy (BMT)

In the wake of surgery on her wrist, Eliza was experiencing a large amount of pain and feared she wouldn’t ever regain full movement.
Eliza’s wrist injury meant she was experiencing a problem with the muscles and tendons in her wrist which meant her functional movement was impacted. Tendons are bands of strong tissue that attach muscle to bone. You use the tendons and muscles in your wrist to move your wrist in all directions.
Here is Eliza’s story.
“After cutting my right wrist while at home washing a large vase, I was required to have surgery on my tendon as it had been fully severed. The surgery was delayed for quite a few reasons, which meant that the surgery was more difficult than previously anticipated and the recovery process was much longer. As well as being in a significant amount of pain, I also had to be in a cast for 12 weeks.
Once my hand/wrist was out of the cast, movement in my wrist was extremely limited (and painful), to the point where I thought that I would never be able to regain full movement in my wrist. Being right-handed, I couldn’t drive, cook meals, feed or dress myself, without assistance. I also couldn’t put any weight on my wrist for some time.
When I began to see Tracy, firstly, she gave me the confidence and reassurance that once she had worked on the right muscles, I should see a dramatic improvement in my movement. Tracy worked very gently on my scar tissue and on the muscles in my hand, my forearm and even my shoulder, to free up my movement. She also gave me lots of practical suggestions for easy exercises that I could do at home, to enhance my recovery and rehab. The results speak for themselves really. After only a couple of sessions, the Bioelectric Meridian Therapy seemed to have done its magic and I very quickly regained almost all of the function in my wrist. I am able to go back to doing all of the household tasks that I previously had such a hard time doing, and I am noticing that I hardly have any limitations in my wrist at present.
The therapy worked very quickly for me, and I am so happy that I gave it a go. Tracy is so incredibly knowledgeable about Meridian lines, muscle groups and all things body-related. She also instils confidence and calmness in her treatments. I continue to be a big advocate of the BMT for all things body-related.”
