Bioelectric Massage and Fibromyalgia

Bioelectric Meridian Therapy in a Tranquil Spa Description: A therapist in white uses both hands to perform BMT on a client's bare back in a softly lit, peaceful treatment space. Fibromyalgia is a chronic long-term disorder experienced mostly by women. This disorder is typified by musculoskeletal pain in some parts of the body. It usually leads to mood swings, exhaustion, and loss of memory or a slow thinking process.

Fibromyalgia boosts the feeling of pain: it affects the brain’s pain receptors by informing the brain that you are feeling so much pain.

Sometimes the symptom of fibromyalgia doesn’t become evident until after surgery, physical trauma such as an accident, prolonged psychological or physical stress, and infection. In some cases, the symptoms begin so mildly that it can be ignored and then it becomes inactive but continually builds up until an event such as an infection an illness, surgery or stress brings it to the fore.

Other signs of fibromyalgia include depression, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), and tension headaches.

Who are those that have a higher risk of fibromyalgia?

  • Among the genders, women have a higher risk of developing fibromyalgia.
  • Having an injury on the same spot continuously
  • History of other rheumatoid diseases
  • History of neurological disorders
  • Family history of fibromyalgia
  • Anxiety
  • Chronic infection or a history of chronic infections
  • Accidents or surgeries

Fibromyalgia has no permanent cure, but it can be managed via medication and therapies that encourage relaxation and exercise and reduce stress significantly. One such treatment is the bio-electric massage.

Bioelectric Meridian Massage

Bioelectric massage is a therapy that merges the gains of acupuncture and massage. It’s better than other traditional massages in terms of swiftness and efficiency. One session of bio-electric massage is the same as two hours of yoga and ten Swedish massages.

Bioelectric massage has also been effective in treating other conditions such as gout, breast hyperplasia, gallstones, cervical spondylosis, frozen shoulder, constipation, lumbar muscle strain, facial paralysis, insomnia, high cholesterol, frozen shoulder, lumbar disc herniation, migraines, inflammation, malnutrition, pain and other rheumatoid diseases.

Bioelectric massage works by regulating body acidity and removing any residual toxins from the bloodstream. It helps to open up the meridians.

Meridians are imaginary lines used to connect different points of energy in the body; it helps masseurs and acupuncturists to access the energy spots in the body. They aren’t static, and they have a specific spot for masseurs and acupuncturists to access the body’s energy.

What’s the benefit of Bioelectric Massage?

Bioelectric massage stimulates the muscles and nerves so that it reduces pain, thereby increasing circulation and allowing a wide range of motion within the body.

Unlike acupuncture, bioelectric massage doesn’t require needles, surgery, or medication. It works by using low voltage and high frequency, which is known as electrotherapy energy current to help the tissues and cells relax and contract.

Bioelectric massage balances the body’s pH levels, and it has anti-aging properties to create a more youthful appearance. It aids quick recovery from surgeries and injuries.

It flushes the pain out of your system by detoxifying the acid levels, which will, in turn, boost the alkaline levels in the body.

How does bioelectronic massage work for fibromyalgia?

For this therapy, two electrodes are placed along the meridian lines.

The frequency and intensity of the signal is controlled by the therapist depending on the condition treated and the feedback from the client’s tissue.

It is a tailor made therapy. The machine does not have pre-programmed options.

While this is at work, you’ll feel a soothing motion on your skin that makes you relax (some people sleep) because of the electrical currents applied to the electrodes.

At the end of the massage session, you’ll feel better and relaxed. Your meridian spots will be free from every form of tension.

Fibromyalgia can also be treated with medication, but bioelectric massage is effective, and it comes with no side effects or pain.
